Ahh, sometimes you just want to read a damn book. That being said there's so many pros and cons to book shopping. There are many different ways to shop for a book and their are pros and cons for all of them. For starters for the internet is huge and easy way to get books. You can also get access to Ebooks from nooks,kindles,e-readers and other device that you can reach the internet and have a decent memory storage. I'm not really a big ebook fan but my friend is and he maybe giving me some advice. I shall not be giving advice on something I'm not too acquainted to is just plain stupid.
First like most people who shop for books you need to decide what condition you want. Used or New. And if you decide to go for used, you need to decide how used. Meaning, Practically New/Mint, Very Good, Good, and Acceptable. Most sellers will write the damages of each book, meaning highlighed words, marks, underlining, rips, tears. Most will never sell you a book with loose pages or missing pages. Though they will sell you something with a damage spine. That being said most sellers are pretty fair about selling you the book in the stated condition. Though like all you take you chances. I usually purchase at Half.com or Amazon. There are tons of more sites that will have a marketplace set up as well. It's all up to you.
Second thing you need to think about is it really a deal? I've come to realize that there's a range for deals. Shipping costs is usually $3.99 - $8.00. Depending how fast you want it. So this is what you need to consider the good ol' $10 mark. If I'm buying a used book for 1.86 plus shipping which comes out around $7.00 You're saving money still by a few dollars. Though you're going to have to wait to read that book and of course it's most likely not in new condition.
Here's the thing if Barnes and Noble sell a book for $10.50 plus tax which comes out around $11.75, and it's new with no wear or tear. (Though it's hard to find a book that's like that since tons of people like to browse through books before they read.) I'd say you got a pretty good deal if compared to a used book bought online that's around $5.00 plus shipping $3.99 comes about $9.00 depending on how they tax the book which could raise the price more. And you have to wait for it to be delivered. Hoping nothing goes wrong with delivery and or the book is at it's said condition. So in that case going to your local Barnes & Noble or Borders book store actually might be worth it.
This also goes for multiple books when you buy online. Because some times (for me mostof the time) you might buy the books from multiple sellers. Which will charge $3.99 at least for shipping for each book. That being said if a book is more than $10 to $13 at the book store will the choice is obvious. That's if they have the book you want and they don't charge extra for sending it to the store for pick up. So that being said they're are many Pros and Cons to shopping. I might update with Ebook information when I ask my friend about his advice on Ebook's. Till then I hope this came out to be useful for whoever reads it.

New Layout
Ha it doesn't look like it changed much but I upgraded into XHTML. Which is a pain in the but to use because I like the CS2 look of the old school bloggers. Though I figure I need to keep up with the times. So I just basically edited the plainest blogger template I've seen and just tweaked it a bit, might tweak it some more who knows. Anyways the image of the feild is from Sugary-Stock from Deviant Art. I just photoshopped it a bit and added the blogs title. Well that's it for now, hopefully I get the nerve to blog more with something people don't mind reading about.
